Each pear is appliquéd onto a square, for ease of appliqué, then sewn together into the quilt top. The pattern includes directions for 4 quilt sizes, from a lap quilt to a king size quilt. Directions are written for fusible machine appliqué, but you can hand appliqué is that is your preferred method.
