This is my first, in a series of new samples, for – Fill the Spaces.
It measures 40’’ square and is made with Kona cotton. The best way to show quilting is to use a solid fabric so the fabric selection was easy. I choose a traditional color pallet and a balanced design to show how these two elements can help you decide your quilting motifs. Next were the shapes I wanted to use for demonstration purposes, a large square, flying geese, small borders or sashing, corner stones, a large and small checkerboard and lastly an average size border. All of these elements can be found in many quilts and each one will have something different quilted in it. All the designs will be free motion with no marking or rulers used.
Hope you follow along.
